- Supplementary Description: Organizational Informatics is a major sub-field of Social Informatics. Its research questions are closely connected: Is computing an organization likely to change it fundamentally? Similarly, how does computing change when it is organized? These two questions imply a third: Does organizing computing/computing organizations have more general, transformative social implications? Research in Organizational Informatics is heavily influenced by the tradition of Business Studies.
